THE PHILADELPHIA OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME COALITION
Fostering Philadelphia's OST Ecosystem
ABOUT US
POSTC (Philadelphia Out-of-School Time Coalition) is a group of Philadelphia OST providers who joined together in 2019 to share resources and advocate for youth, family, and provider needs at the City, state, and federal level. Collectively our organizations serve thousands of youth across the city, from Kensington to Cobbs Creek, from Strawberry Mansion to South Philadelphia, and beyond.
For decades, our network of provider organizations have served Philadelphia’s most vulnerable low-income, predominantly minority youth, providing enriching programming offered in-person by caring adults, giving parents and caregivers vital access to no-cost child care during out-of-school time hours.
POSTC seeks to be true partners with funders, youth advocates, and stakeholders to create an OST ecosystem that fully supports Philadelphia’s diverse communities with high quality out of school time programming.
We strive to bring a diverse perspective serving a wide spectrum of ages, funding streams, and communities in an effort to support all youth and families in the greater Philadelphia area.

"Afterschool programs keep kids safe, inspire them to learn, and give working parents peace of mind. They help children learn, grow, and reach their full potential, offering new learning opportunities that help students do better in school and in life. Children in afterschool programs attend school more often, get better grades, and are more likely to graduate."
